The Animal Care Manager is a full-time, permanent position that is the lead on ensuring animals at the Yukon Wildlife Preserve are well cared for. This includes meeting or exceeding the standards of care required for YWP to maintain its accreditation with Canada’s Accredited Zoos and Aquariums. This position plays important roles in coordinating important stakeholders, hands-on animal care, team-leadership and strong communication throughout all parties. • The Animal Care Supervisor provides functional supervision, operational assistance and technical guidance to the animal care staff. This position is responsible for assisting management in all aspects of Marine Life operations including Husbandry Operations, assisting staff with maintenance, inclusive dietary preparation and distribution and collection of organisms.
