CAZA Accreditation Mentorship Program (CAMP)
The CAMP program is an agreement between Canada’s Accredited Zoos and Aquariums (CAZA) and prospective facilities/institutions who wish to become members of CAZA. The objective is to provide mentorship services to prospective institutions with the goal of greater success in meeting CAZA’s rigorous accreditation program standards.
Goals of the CAZA Accreditation Mentorship Program (CAMP)
- Clarify CAZA Requirements – Ensure prospective institutions have a thorough understanding of CAZA’s standards and requirements for accreditation.
- Provide Mentorship & Support – Offer guidance and mentorship to help prospective institutions navigate the accreditation process, setting them up for success and facilitating their journey toward becoming CAZA-accredited.
- Promote Animal Welfare Best Practices – Ensure that prospective institutions fully comprehend and consistently implement best practices in animal welfare.
- Expand CAZA Membership – Foster the growth of CAZA by increasing the number of accredited members committed to excellence in animal care and conservation.
