CAZA Accreditation Mentorship Pathway (CAMP)
The CAMP program is an agreement between Canada’s Accredited Zoos and Aquariums (CAZA) and prospective facilities/institutions who wish to become members of CAZA. The objective is to provide mentorship services to prospective institutions with the goal of greater success in meeting CAZA’s rigorous accreditation program standards.
The CAZA National Office assigns qualified mentors to institutions seeking accreditation. Mentors are selected based on location, expertise, and alignment with the operational focus of the prospective institution.
Each mentor is committed to:
- Reviewing key policies and procedures prior to the institution’s formal application.
- Providing ongoing guidance throughout the mentorship period, which can last up to three years from the start of the CAZA Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
Our mentorship program ensures institutions receive the support and insight needed to successfully navigate the accreditation process.
