Canada’s Accredited Zoos and Aquariums (CAZA) will be holding its 41st annual conference in Ottawa, Ontario from September 27-30, 2017 – Celebrating our Past, Imagining Our Future.

Celebrating our Past, Imagining Our Future will explore how accredited zoos and aquariums have evolved from what they were 50 years ago, exhibitor of animals – to what they are now, stewards of biodiversity, learning, and engagement.

The infrastructure and expertise available in accredited zoos and aquariums provide CAZA members with a unique opportunity to play a meaningful role in species conservation, medical and scientific research, rescue and rehabilitation, learning, and facilitate the transformative power of connecting people to nature.

CAZA Conference 2017’s highly interactive format will feature keynote speakers who will discuss the changing the way zoos/aquariums operate through innovation through infrastructure, out-of-the box programming, as well as effective social media outreach.

The Conference will also feature interactive panels, break-out sessions, workshops, as well as live and virtual field trips!
