L\u2019AZAC s\u2019engage \u00e0 faire progresser les zoos et aquariums accr\u00e9dit\u00e9s dans leur r\u00f4le de d\u00e9fenseurs du bien-\u00eatre animal, de la conservation, de l&rsquo;\u00e9ducation et de la recherche. <\/p><p>En tant qu&rsquo;organisme de bienfaisance enregistr\u00e9, l&rsquo;AZAC soutient et renforce les efforts de conservation de ses membres gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 diverses initiatives visant \u00e0 sensibiliser et \u00e0 informer le public, ainsi qu&rsquo;en collaborant avec des organisations et des institutions partageant les m\u00eames valeurs.<\/p><p>Gr\u00e2ce au r\u00f4le d&rsquo;interpr\u00e8tes du monde naturel jou\u00e9 par nos membres institutionnels, nous aidons chaque ann\u00e9e plus de 12 millions de visiteurs \u00e0 tisser des liens avec la nature. En plus de maintenir ces liens essentiels, nos institutions membres participent activement \u00e0 des centaines de programmes de conservation appliqu\u00e9e et sont \u00e0 l&rsquo;origine de certaines des r\u00e9ussites les plus remarquables en mati\u00e8re de conservation d&rsquo;esp\u00e8ces menac\u00e9es telles que la pie-gri\u00e8che migratrice, la tortue peinte, l&rsquo;ara canind\u00e9 et la grenouille macul\u00e9e de l&rsquo;Oregon. <\/p><p>*L&rsquo;AZAC n&rsquo;accorde ni ne r\u00e9voque les permis d&rsquo;exploitation ni n&rsquo;autorise la d\u00e9tention d&rsquo;animaux par les institutions zoologiques.
